Deadline for Applications: 20 September 2018 (research infrastructure registration)/ 15 October 2018 (grant applications)
Project Duration: 4 years (2019-2022) with possible extension by additional 1-3 years
Subject Areas: all fields of fundamental research
Funding size: 4-6 million rubles per project per year (team grants) with total funding for one research infrastructure facility limited to 20-60 million rubles yearly
Eligibility: The applicant PI should have in the past five years at least 7 (5 – for Humanities and Social Sciences) publications in Web of Science/Scopus database
Large research infrastructure facilities located on the territory of the Russian Federation shall be used while implementing projects submitted under this call of proposals.
The number of the eligible project applications implemented on the basis of one research infrastructure facility should not be less than five. Herewith, one legal entity, the projects of which may win under the current competition, should not receive more than one third of the Foundation’s financial support for all of the projects funded under the current competition and implemented with the use of the respective research infrastructure.
It is expected that the results of this call will be available by 1 March 2019 with funding available in April 2019.
The RSF funding schemes are open to top researchers from all over the world who wish to carry out a project in a host institution in Russia.
