These awards include 49 laboratories projects that are expected to produce excellent results in the next 7 years.

The grants for the laboratories will be allocated for 2019-2022 with the possibility of competitive funding extension for additional 3 years after the interim success evaluation. The highlight of this funding program is the mandatory participation of an industrial partner or a founder through co-funding mechanism. Each year, the share of co-funding will increase with RSF funding decreasing so that the basic research is expected to be tailored more to the needs of society or the market. The size of one RSF grant will amount in 2019 30 million Russian rubles, in 2020 - 28 million rubles, in 2021 - 26 million rubles, in 2022 - 24 million rubles.

The winners of the other funding program are 106 projects implemented on the large research infrastructure facilities that will be carried out at 18 large infrastructure facilities.

All these projects are aimed at solving specific research tasks associated with the priorities specified in the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation and will be based at the large research infrastructure facilities in Russia.

The size of one RSF grant will amount from 4 to 6 million Russian rubles annually (team grants) with total funding for one research infrastructure facility limited to 20-60 million rubles yearly.
