Russian Science Foundation has announced winners in the competition for funding of advanced interdisciplinary research programs in Russian scientific institutions.
16 programs were supported according to the disclosed results of the competition. The programs are designed to promote development of human resources in the field of science, world-class research and development, science intensive production in research organizations and higher educational institutions.
More than 150 projects were evaluated during the competition.
Among the awardees are 12 research organizations under jurisdiction of the Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations, 3 universities (Lomonosov Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University, Far Eastern Federal University) and Nikitsky Botanical Gardens (Republic of Crimea).
Funding will be provided by the end of 2018. Maximum amount for the whole period of implementation of the program is 750 million rubles. Total cost of the program is estimated at approximately 10 billion rubles.
